How Are Bikes Locked to Kuat TS02G Transfer Bike Rack

Question:

1 How are bikes locked on? 2 Does it matter if the bike doesn’t have a cross bar like a traditionally man’s bike? I have a women’s bike that I need to secure. 3 My husband is 6’5” and his bike has a large frame. Will the length of the bike with tires be an issue for this type of rack? Thank you so much.

The Kuat Transfer # KU74FR would be an excellent choice.

Since the rack holds the bikes by the tires right in front of the forks, a women's bike will work great because the rack doesn't need the bike to have a horizontal top tube. It'll work perfectly with a women's bike as long as it doesn't have fenders.

The rack can accommodate bikes with a wheelbase (distance between front and rear axle, measured center to center) up to 50 inches, tire widths up to 3 inches and wheel diameters up to 29 inches.

What really sets this rack apart from others like it is the U-shaped frame design which lets you step in close when loading the inner-most bike which is a total game changer. I've linked to a product demonstration video featuring the Kuat Transfer.
