How Many Wires Under Hood Need Attached On 2008 Chevy Silverado for Brake Controller
Question:
Hi I have been watching your videos on installing brake controller on a 2008 silverado.One shows a two wire hook up to fuse box and one only shows a one wire hook up. My 2008 silverado has two wires one located to the side of fuse box and one located down under brake cylinder area ,do both get hooked up to power terminals on fuse box.Thanks

The Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller part # C24VV is an excellent option for a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado when used with the Universal Wiring Adapter for Curt Trailer Brake Controllers part # C51515. The wires under the dash are already ran and labeled for you.
Once the wires under the dash are hooked up, all you will need to do is make one connection under the hood in the engine bay. This connection is a red wire to the right of the fuse box which needs to be attached to the M6 stud on the fuse box with part # 185916. I have attach a photo below.
The other wire you are seeing next to the brake booster is for 12 volt power to the 7-way which is not required for the brake controller install.
