Adding Trailer Brake Wiring to an ATV Trailer with a 4 Pin Harness
Question:
What before obviously adding some electric brakes to the trailer, do I need to do to make my 4 pin harness power and run the trailer brakes? My 2019 Ram 1500 has both a 4 pin and 7 pin socket at the rear bumper.

We have a kit just for this. The 7-Way Upgrade Kit w/ Junction Box and RV Style Connector part # HS381-9000 gives you all of the required components to upgrade from your existing 4-way to a 7-way plug. The only exception is the correct length of 12 Gauge Duplex Wire part # 12-1-1. You will order enough to go from where you will mount the junction box back to the axle then across to the other side.
Check out the video my buddy Ellen did. As you can see this provides excellent connection points for any required accessories or functions on the trailer.
