Towing Capacity for 2019 GMC Sierra 2500 and Automatic Sliding Fifth Wheel Hitch

Question:

I have a 2019 GMC 2500 crew cab short bed 4wd. Looking at a fifth wheel hitch, thinking Demco Hijacker auto slide. Looking to pull a Montana RV with a GVWR of 14300. Trying to figure out if that hitch is gonna be a good match and is that RV too much for the truck. Getting mixed signals online about towing capacity.

I looked up the towing capacity for your 2019 GMC Sierra 2500 and it appears to be between 13,000 and 14,500 lbs depending on how it's optioned. Your best option would be to contact a GMC dealer to see if they'll give you the official capacity based on the VIN.

The Demco Hijacker Autoslide part # DM8550034 is a really great option that I would recommend highly. And to fit it in the OEM rail kit of your Sierra all you'd need is the adapter part # DM6194 and you'd be set.
