Troubleshooting 4-Way Trailer Wiring Not Functioning with Truck
Question:
I have trailer with a 4 pin and 5 wires going in to the 4 pin it will not work on my trucks 4 pin up

The 4-way you have on your trailer is wishbone configured which means it has a wire for each side of the running light circuit which is carried on a single pin of the 4-way. Now it now working with your truck's 4-way is most likely related to a couple things. Most likely you have dirty trailer wiring connector pins which some sandpaper can easily fix.
Other possibility is that the ground wire on the trailer is connected any more so make sure the circuit is ran to a clean connection on the trailer frame.
