First, you need to make sure your 2009 Saturn Vue has a Class III trailer hitch with a 2 inch receiver that is rated for weight distribution like # 75556.
When choosing a weight distribution system you will need to go by the tongue weight of the trailer when loaded and ready to tow and then add the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. But, do not exceed the tongue weight rating when used with weight distribution for the hitch.
A system rated for 200 to 600 pounds would be ideal. Take a look at Reese system, # RP66540. This is a trunnion bar system that would provide better ground clearance than a round bar system. You would just need to add a properly sized ball like # A-90 for a 2 inch diameter or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch diameter.
If you wanted to add sway control you can use # 83660. This is a friction style system. I have included some links on the sway control, the hitch, and a link to our FAQ on weight distribution.
