Which Kuat Platform Bike Rack Sways the Least
Question:
I am looking at the transfer and Sherpa. My daughter and son in law have the Sherpa and am impressed with fact the bikes do NOT sway side to side when off road. Will the transfer rack be as sturdy regarding “sway?” Going to mount on a F350 and Jeep CJ.

I think a lot of what you're seeing with the Kuat Sherpa # SH22B reducing sway and play on the back of the vehicle is because of the design; the Sherpa has a thicker crossmember and arms than a lot of bike carriers on the market and this really helps with its stability. In my experience the Kuat Transfer 2 # KU74FR doesn't sway a lot, but with its design it's probably going to sway just a little bit more than the Sherpa. With that being said, I recommend going with the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 because it's overall just a nicer looking, more sturdy bike rack because of its design and I really like that the Sherpa comes equipped with locks for your bike and the hitch.
I've also linked our road test videos of both of these racks so that you can see them both in action on the back of a car and compare them.
