Both hitches are manufactured in the USA, and are high quality. The Curt # C67JR and the EcoHitch # EH34FR hitches are extremely similar. They install in the same manner, by being sandwiched between the bumper beam and the trunk pan of the vehicle. Both hitches are a concealed style, with only the receiver tube and the safety chain loops being visible from the rear. This makes for a very nice look when not in use. They will both require a little trimming of the rear fascia but and the Eco Hitch requires slightly more than the etrailer but it is not noticeable and won't change the look of your Outback a bit.
The EcoHitch is produced using a recycled material which consist of steel, stainless steel and aluminum so the carbon footprint is reduced and it has a really nice finish but is more costly. Both hitches exceed the capacity of your Outback and are great choices. My pick is the EcoHitch for the finish and the reduced footprint but either choice will get the job done!
