Does Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller Eventually Shut Off if Left Alone

Question:

I have purchased this unit from you with the appropriate adapter, and all seems well so far. After installation of this brake controller, I noticed that there is still power to the unit after the truck has been shut off, key out. Will this be a drain on my battery? Im guessing no, but I would like to make sure. Thanks.

Brake controllers like the Tekonsha Primus IQ part # TK90160 that you referenced will go into a sleep mode after about 15 minutes or so which prevents any battery drain. But even if they didn't do that the LED light that is on draws such a small amount of amperage it wouldn't kill the battery.
