Can 2011 Ram 2500 Short Bed Tow Trailer With MorRyde Orbital Pin Box and Non-Slider Curt Hitch

I have a 2011 ram 2500 with 6.5foot bed. I didnt want a sliding hitch. I ordered my rv with the morride orbital pin box. Will the curt fifth wheel hitch work with this application?

Since you have a trailer that has a pivoting pin box you do not need a slider hitch for turning clearance with your 2011 Ram 2500 short bed. Normally for short bed trucks a slider hitch is needed to make tight turns but if the trailer has a pivoting pin box like your MorRyde Orbital or a Sidewinder you can get by without it. You also have advantage of having a trailer that's easier to back up and it will track better.

So you can use the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Slide Bar Jaw - 16,000 lbs # C16115 with the custom rail kit that fits your truck # C16420-204 and Sidewinder Wedge # C16991, then you'd be set!
