Yes, the Bargman 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness, part # 50-97-410, will fit your 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 without any modification.

The # 51-97-410 wiring harness, is designed to plug in line with the original factory 7-way connection under your trucks bed. You will route the wiring harness between the truck bed sides and then mount it after drilling a 2 inch hole in the proper position in the bed using a 2 inch diameter hole saw. After installation you will still retain the use of the factory installed 7-Way.

I am including a link to a install video that will show the wiring harness being installed on a vehicle. The vehicle may be different, but the installation will be similar.
