How to Find Cold Side of Brake Switch to Install Road Master Even Brake on 2016 F-150
Question:
There are four wires going to my brake switch on my 2016 Ford F-150 which wire is the cold wire that they mention it would be easy to figure out if there were only two wires.

Expert Reply:
Out of those four wires, there is only one that will show power ONLY when the brake pedal is pressed. This is the cold side of the switch which will need to be connected to the #1 terminal on the ICX transmitter of the Roadmaster Even Brake # RM-9400, unless the included brake lite relay is installed.
You'll want to use a circuit tester, like # PTW2992 to test the wires since auto manufacturers can use different color wires so it's always best to check the wires for function rather than color.
