Installation of Spring Bars on Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution on 2019 Grand Design Imagine
Question:
Curt 17500- It seems that most recommendations are to mount the vertical sway bar brackets by measuring 4” back from the end of the sway bar and center the bracket at that point. Does this position negatively effect the distribution of weight? I have about 6 1/2 inches of sway bar left to the end vrs 4 inches. I’ve followed all the instructions and this is where my install ended up. Do you think I should readjust my positioning. Please advise. Thank you,

The short answer is- yes; you will want to re-position the spring bars. When installing the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution # C17500 you will want to put the brackets 4" from the end of the spring bars on the system. This allows the spring bars to distribute weight across the tow vehicle to the fullest of its ability and will ultimately make your towing experience much better. While 2-1/2" may not seem like a large amount, it's still almost 10% of the length of the bars and will make a noticeable difference.
