Roller Bunks for 15 Foot Flat Bottom Aluminum Boat Weighing Around 1,200 to 1,500 Lbs

Question:

I have a 15’ custom built aluminum flat bottom i’m guessing the weight is around 1200-1500lbs with the motor and all my accessories when I tow it. I have flat bunks on my trailer right now but it is inconvenient when the water is low later in the summer months it makes it difficult for me to put the boat in some lakes would a set of 10’ roller bunk carry the weight of my boat if I was to go that way with my rig?.... that would be my question....

Helpful Expert Reply:

The 5' Dutton-Lainson Boat Trailer Deluxe Roller Bunks, part # DL21741 have a combined capacity (for the pair) of 3,000 lbs. This means that they would have absolutely no problem supporting the weight of your 15' aluminum flat bottom boat and will make a huge difference in improving the ease of loading and unloading the boat on your trailer and into the water.

To install them, you'll also need some roller bunk brackets, part # DL21742.
