Round tube sliders are slider bases for fifth wheel hitches that are known to be a bit smoother and easier to operate than square tube sliders. They are the preferred style because of this. So the Pro Series hitch part # PS30121 that you mentioned is a square tube slider hitch that uses the same head as the # 30118 you mentioned and the # RP30083 is a similar 20k slider hitch that has a round base and an improved jaw design that provides a smoother and quieter ride quality all together.
