Does the 2018 Ford F-150 King Ranch Have Continuous Power Assist Braking

Question:

So the manual says do not install if you have active brakes or continuous power braking. I know the first one is the vehicle senses an accident and automatically stops the car, but what is continuous power braking and does my car have it? 2018 Ford F150 King Ranch with all the options.

The system that Roadmaster is referring to when they say "active" or "continuous power assist" braking systems are those where the master cylinder pump runs all of the time. This system is not in place on your 2018 Ford F-150 King Ranch trim package, so you will be able to use the Roadmaster BrakeMaster # RM-9160. To install this supplemental braking system on your truck you are required to use the Roadmaster Custom Fit Seat Adapter # RM-88316 to allow for proper functioning of the system and the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400 to allow for the turn signals and brake lights to properly function without interference.

I've linked some installation videos of the supplemental braking system as well as the relay kit for you to have a look at and use as a reference if you're going to install these yourself.

Question on the RM “Brakemaster” … “Brakes are on” … light that goes inside the MH. I’m installing the Hopkins 56009 light wiring kit along with the RM-88400 brake light relay kit on my 2018 F150 with push button start. Curious how to make the “Brakes are on” light inside the MH work when you have the RM-88400 installed since it doesn’t allow the vehicle brake lights to come on when vehicle is swithed off? I kind of like having some kind of a notification that my brakes are working and not stuck on so rely on the little light. Thanks ….

The brake signal light will need to be connected to the brake light switch under the dash on you vehicle.
