Replacing Broken 7-Way Trailer Connector on 2002 Ford F150

Question:

My 7way bracket was bent and the socket broken when I went in a deep rut. I fixed the bracket and ordered a new socket #PK11893. While installing the new socket the tab broke off that locks the 2 together. If I order a Pollak lead #PK11998 and solder it in will it have the lock tab and will the wires match up. Should I just order the whole 7/4 way harness?

Going with the # PK11998 would be your best bet. The 4-foot pigtail does include the grey locking tab you speak of, as shown in the photo I edited for you. I will also provide the color code for the pigtail wiring, as it might not necessarily wire up color-for-color to your F150. To determine function, you might need a circuit tester like part # PTW2993, if you do not already have one.
