Will Installing Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver and Trimming the Heat Shield Void My Factory Warranty
Question:
Will installing a tow kit void my factory warranty?

Installing a trailer hitch like Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13363 which is a custom fit for the 2018 - 2020 Jeep Compass and 2017 - 2017 Jeep Compass New Body Style will not void the factory warranty. The magnuson-moss warranty act states that manufactures cannot void the warranty because you installed an aftermarket part unless the aftermarket part is what directly caused damage to the vehicle. I recommend to look it up online. I have also attached an installation video for your reference.
If your concern is the heat shield trimming on the vehicle to install the hitch, it is very minimal and the metal hitch will help to dissipate the heat as well.
