In order to install a brake controller such as the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 part # 90885 on a 2008 Volvo S60 you must cut and splice into existing wires, the stop light switch circuit in particular because there is no plug-n-play brake controller harness/kit to use on this vehicle. Furthermore, you must run power and ground wires to the battery as well as a brake output wire to the rear of the vehicle.

If you don't want to do the above then I recommend using the Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 because it's wireless so you don't have to cut and splice or drill into the dash to mount the brake controller.
