Which Observation Camera Kit is Correct for 2019 Keystone Hideout 281DBS that is Pre-Wired
Question:
I have a 2019 Keystone Hideout 281DBS 5th Wheel. It’s pre-wired for a rear camera. Will the system you recommended in a blog for a 2018 Keystone model work for my 5th Wheel? If so, is it easy to install? A DIY video on another website makes this camera system appear to have to be plugged into a 12v and it’s one continuous wire from the monitor to the camera...so more for an RV than a separated truck and trailer. Can you please clarify? Thank you much

Tthe Furrion Observation system you mentioned is not the correct kit to fit your 2019 Keystone Hideout 281DBS as it was pre-wired for a Voyager Wisight kit part # ASA37YR.
Basically the camera plugs into the wiring at the rear of your camper easily and then mounts onto the wedge there as well easily. The wiring then activates the camera when the running lights are on. The only thing left to do is plug the display in on your vehicle and you're set. The connection between the camera and display is totally wireless so there's no additional wiring needed.
