If you have a 6-Way round connector on your camper we have many wiring adapters that will allow you to convert your 7-Way connector on your 2012 Honda Pilot to the 6-Way round connector on your camper.On a 6-Way round connector you will need to verify the function of the center pin and make sure it is wired correctly to match the center pin on your vehicles 7-Way. The center pin on a 6-Way round can be wired as either a 12-volt hot lead or an electric brake signal. I am including a link to a page that will show your choices of adapters.

If you have a 6-Way square connector on your camper, the best thing to do is to remove the 6-Way square connector and replace with a 7-Way connector. The 6-Way square plug is a rarity. You will just need a 7-Way connector like Pollak 7-Way Trailer End, part # PK12706, clip off the 6-way square plug on the trailer, then connect the wires to the new 7-Way as follows:

If looking at the back of the connector where the wires attach;

Center pin will not be used
1 oclock position = 12 volt power
3 oclock position = right turn and brake lights
5 oclock position = output to electric trailer brakes
7 oclock position = ground
9 oclock position = left turn and brake
11 oclock position = tail lights

I am including a link to a FAQ page on trailer wiring. It will help you with the wiring on the trailer.
