Parts Needed to Make 7-way Euro to 4-Way Adapter
Question:
I have a 2018 Nissan Rogue SV and purchased a trailer hitch assemble from E Trailer. Im currently stationed with the Army in Germany and have a German Trailer to haul stuff. Now the local auto shop is trying to see how to connect the electrical cable from the Rogue to the German trailer. Germans has the 7pin connectors and I believe the one I have is a 5pin connector. I was told E Trailer has has what I need for $11.95. They have a 7pin to 4/5 pin connector that should work for a German trailer. European conversion. Can someone help me make the right purchase to get this done. My parts are at a local car shop and they are trying to figure it out but Im told there are adapters out there for this type of issue. Thanks in advance!

I do have an option for you but they do not offer an adapter to go directly from a US 4-Way to a Euro 7-Way. However, you can make one of your own using only the part # 118158, part # 16-4B-1 (per foot), and part # HM48192. I have then attached a wiring diagram on this process for you.
You'll have to source the correct trailer connector style local to you as we don't have a Euro style 7-way.
