Setting Up 2014 Ford C Max For Flat Towing
Question:
Hello, I have a Blue Ox Aladdin BX4325 Tow Bar that connects to Base Plate BX1126 on our Jeep Wrangler. I am switching to a 2014 Ford Cmax as my tow vehicle and will be ordering Base Plate BX2639. My question is will the Blue Ox Aladdin BX4325 Tow Bar work with this base plate? You are recommending the Blue Ox Alpha BX7365. Thanks!

The Blue Ox # BX4325 Aladdin tow bar will perfectly compatible with the # BX2639 base plate you mentioned. The only reason you don't see the Aladdin mentioned is that Blue Ox no longer produces it.
If you don't have the rest of the equipment lined up yet, to wire the C-Max I'd recommend the # RM-15267 diode kit from Roadmaster. For a braking system, I like the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR for a portable system or if you prefer something that's permanently installed, the Roadmaster Invisibrake # RM-8700 works very well. You'd also need a stop light switch for the Invisibrake, part # RM-751459. Once the tow bar and the vehicle are connected, you'll want the tow bar to be within 3 inches +/- of level. If it isn't, you'd need a high/low adapter. I'll link you to the adapters we offer as well as to the parts mentioned above.
