When replacing plumbing parts the first thing you want to do is shut off your water supply so as not to make a mess. Next, the parts that you need to replace really depend on what exactly is going on. If the handle just fell off but everything else looks to be intact (no leaking or stripped threads) then you would just need to replace the handle with something like part # 34439016.

If there is some leaking and/or the threads on your stem/bonnet aren't in good shape then you'll need to replace it with something like part # 34439004. Typically it should be a right handed thread, but according to my research it can vary depending on what was first installed.

If you can tell me what exact faucet handle system you have on your 1985 Schult mobile home I might be able to give you some more specifics, but this is more of a case-by-case situation. I have attached a diagram with an exploded view of a faucet that you can use to assist with taking your faucet handle apart.

You should be able to remove the handle screw by prying the top button off with a flathead screw driver, then remove the screw that holds the handle on. There may be a bonnet lock or lock ring that you can remove by lifting it up with the screw driver and then unscrew the old stem and bonnet with a crescent wrench.

Do you have any idea a replacement for that exact faucet in the picture above? The chrome one.

@Rick The closest thing we have to that is the Phoenix Faucets RV Shower Valve - Dual Knob Handle - Chrome # PF214332. This doesn't look to be an exact replacement because the design is a little different, but it has the wider 8" distance for the inlet shanks so it should fit the same footprint. This faucet has 10-1/4" wide x 2-1/4" tall x 3" deep overall dimensions so you'll want to compare that to what you have.

How do you actually remove the chrome bonnet in these shower valve photos? It appears that you must remove it in order to remove the stems

@KimberlyW You'll need to lift up on it a little and use a crescent wrench to remove the stems and bonnet.

@JonG I got it! It was accessible from the water heater cabinet.
