Roadmaster Base Plate Kit for 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk

Hello. I just traded in my Jeep for a new 2020 Cherokee Trailhawk and I need to find the right base plate kit. I have a Roadmaster tow bar. Can you tell me which one will work with the jeep and tow bar? Thanks for your help.

Yes, for your 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk and existing Roadmaster Tow Bar, the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521451-5 will work perfectly (as long as the Jeep doesn't have Active Air Shutters). This base plate kit features hidden brackets that maintain a clean appearance on the Jeep and its attachment arms allow you to connect directly to the arms on the tow bar, eliminating the need for its separate crossbar piece that you were likely using before.

I have attached a full installation video on the 2019 model Cherokee below that you can use for reference. The process should be extremely similar on your 2020 model Trailhawk.

In addition to the base plate kit and tow bar, you will also need a lighting solution and supplemental braking system. It sounds like you might have these already but just in case I will list my specific recommendations below.
