Is the Yakima HoldUp 4 Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack Good for Womens and Mens Beach Cruisers
Question:
have 2 mens beach cruisers 7 speed and 16 speed 2 womens beach cruisers16 speed no top bar. will the rack work with these? Lots of freeway driving. Looking for trouble free and damage free operation. If this model isnt a good fit what should we consider. thanks

The Yakima HoldUp 4, # Y02433-02435, is an excellent choice for your application. The 4 arms with padded hooks hold the bikes at the wheels, so the lack of a top bar on the womens bikes is not an issue. If your beach cruisers have fenders on them, the arms may not be able to hold the bikes correctly and you will need to look at a different rack style.
This rack is very solid and there is a lot of space between the bikes so they will not hit each other in transit. The weight capacity of the rack is 200 pounds or 60 pounds per bike; plenty of capacity for beach cruisers. Make sure that the trailer hitch you are using has a tongue weight capacity to handle the weight of the rack (100 plus pounds) and the weight of all the bikes.
