Trailer Hitch and Wiring Fit for 2020 Toyota RAV4 Adventure

So hi. I have a 2020 Toyota RAV4 Adventure model. can you please tell me what I would need for towing a light trailer. It doesn't have anything currently....thank you.

Absolutely! Starting with the trailer hitch for your 2020 Toyota RAV4, I specifically recommend the Curt Class III # C13416 because of its superior black powder coat finish that will do a better job of fighting off corrosion for a longer lasting unit compared to the alternative options available. This Class III hitch features custom mounting brackets that will line up to existing holes in the RAV4's frame rails for a simple bolt-on installation and the hitch itself is made right here in the USA.

Then in order to power the trailer's signal lights you will need to add a wiring harness to the RAV4. For this I recommend the Curt T-Connector # C56434. This custom harness will plug into ports behind the trim panels in the vehicle's cargo area and receive power by running a hot lead up to the battery. This will provide you with a 4-Way connector to hook up to the trailer so that its signal lights illuminate in correspondence to the RAV4's.

Lastly, in order to actually hook up to the trailer, you will need a ball mount and hitch ball. I have attached a great article below that explains how to choose the best one for your setup, along with a link that will take you to our complete selection.
