Difference Between Eco Hitch EH34FR and Curt C67JR for 2020 Subaru Outback Touring
Question:
Im looking for a hitch for my 2020 Subaru Outback Touring. It will be used exclusively for a 2inch bike rack which I previously purchased from you. What is the difference between the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2inch Item # EH34FR, and the less expensive Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2inch Item # C67JR? Both are listed by you as working with my vehicle. Are there any other hitches I should be considering? Many thanks!

Both the Curt # C67JR and the EcoHitch # EH34FR hitches share some similarities. They install in the same manner, by being sandwiched between the bumper beam and the trunk pan of the vehicle. Both hitches are a concealed style, with only the receiver tube and the safety chain loops being visible from the rear. They would both have a pretty similar appearance once installed. Both hitches are manufactured in the USA, and are high quality.
The differences lie within the capacities, with the Curt hitch having a slightly higher capacity. The EcoHitch model is a bit more expensive and would require that the fascia under the bumper be trimmed a bit more than the Curt hitch. You can see this in the photos I provided.
If I had to choose between the two, I'd choose the Curt # C67JR as its level of quality is on par with the EcoHitch at a lower cost.
