Class V Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 with Factory Trailer Hitch
Question:
I have a 2008 Dodge 3500 Dually with 8foot bed and factory hitch. I want to upgrade hitch so I can use a 48inch hitch box extension.

Even if you have a factory installed hitch on your 2008 Dodge Ram 3500, you can still use Curt hitch # C15809. The Curt hitch will fit beneath the factory hitch and provide you with a 2-1/2 inch receiver. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view.
I also recommend etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK25318. It comes with a ball mount, ball, and storage bag.
