Flat Tow Diode Wiring Kit for 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk and Parts Needed to Flat Tow

Hi, 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I would like to configure the vehicle as a TOAD. Before purchasing I would like to verify that I am getting the correct wiring kit for my vehicle which has taillights on both rear quarter panels AND the tailgate. I pulled the driver side rear taillight assembly from the rear quarter panel and it had only one small connector. Obviously I would need to access the wire loom where it splits between the 4 taillight assemblies. It may be above the headliner but I don't want to tear apart the new vehicle without guidance. Can e-trailer provide this guidance and recommend the necessary diode kit. Please confirm that the 7 way bumper mounted connector on the Motorhome should be powered by an Auxiliary circuit switched on only when ignition switch is on, NOT directly to the Motorhomes battery.

The correct tail light diode kit for your 2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk is the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. I have added a link to a video install on a Jeep Cherokee which shows you the process, and the accompanying photo (which is from the video) shows you where the diodes get installed, which is on the same single tail light connector you referenced.

I also wanted to mention that the lights on the hatch (tailgate) of your Cherokee are not going to light up, just the lights that are on the rear panel, as you can see in the other accompanying photo. So you won't be accessing four assemblies, just two. Keep in mind if your motorhome has separate turn and brake signals you will need two additional diodes # RM-792.
