I have a 2014 Jeep Cherokee I want a hitch and locking system for the bikes so I can leave them attached to the car overnight when I am traveling.

The trailer hitch I recommend for a 2014 Jeep Cherokee is the etrailer Hitch part # e73ZR because it has a hidden design which means there is no visible cross tube so you get the best install look and you won't lose much ground clearance.
The bike rack I recommend for a 2014 Jeep Cherokee with the etrailer hitch item # e73ZR is the Thule Doubletrack Pro XT Bike Rack part # TH92BJ which has locks to secure the bike rack to the vehicle and the bikes to the bike rack. The platform design will also be easiest to load your bikes onto and most accommodating of different types of bikes.
If you were looking for something different please just let me know what that is and I will see if we can come up with a better option for you.
