Folding Bike Rack for Draw-Tite Class III Receiver # 75270 on 2012 Honda Odyssey
Question:
Question 1: I recently purchased the Draw-Tite 75270 2inch hitch from you for my 2012 Honda Odyssey and would like to know if this rack has enough clearance with the bumper. The receiver is recessed under the bumper a little. Question 2: I understand this rack cannot be folded while hitched in the upright position, but can it be folded if you tilt the rack back like youre accessing the trunk or rear liftgate? It would be nice to fold it up when not in use and not have to un-hitch it. Thanks.

According to our measurements taken when we installed the # 75270 on a 2012 Honda Odyssey, the distance from the hitch pin hole to the furthest rearward portion of the bumper is 6 inches (see photo). The Swagman Trailhead, part # S63380 when installed will have about 3-1/2 inches of clearance between the rear of the rack upright and the closest portion of the vehicle. This rack has a 4 bike capacity, the arms fold down against the front of the rack.
The rack includes an anti-rattle hitch pin that prevents the rack from moving around in the receiver, but I would also recommend a locking hitch pin, part # S64029 to deter theft.
For womens bikes or bikes with sharply angled top tubes or step-through frames, using a frame adapter like part # 64005 is recommended. The adapter spans the distance between the seat post and the handle bar gooseneck, and provides a level attachment point to the bike rack so the bike has greater ground clearance and is not carried at an angle.
