You're correct that when mounting a wireless backup camera to an aluminum trailer, there is the potential for signal interference. This is really the case with any trailer when using a wireless system. We have found in these cases that mounting the camera towards one side of the trailer and having the monitor on the same side provides a much better signal to combat possible interference with aluminum barriers.

The Swift Hitch Wireless Camera and Monitor # 04928 is one such solution that has a magnetic base allowing you to adjust camera location but it also features pre-drilled holes that can be used to permanently mount the camera as well.
The camera can then be pointed in any direction because of its stem that sits on a rotating ball joint.

Another option to where you won't have any interference issues is to use a wired backup camera system like the excellent Rear View Safety Backup Camera System # RVS-770613-NM. This comes with a 7 inch digital LCD color monitor and CCD backup camera with 50 feet of infrared night vision. All the wires, connectors, and mounts are included.

Included are video resources providing more information on both solutions to review.
