How to Determine Correct Rise or Drop for Equal-i-zer 10,000 lb Weight Distribution System
Question:
I have a lifted 2005 GMC Duramax. It has a 6 inch lift on the truck, will the drop work for the truck height?

I have options which are going to allow you to use the Equal-i-zer weight distribution system, and I can tell you precisely how to figure out the answer to your question, although (and I'll explain why) there is no way for me to know if the shank with the 3" drop/7" rise that comes with the 10,000 lb/1,000 lb tongue weight Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET will work on your 2005 GMC Duramax. What I can say is that it is highly unlikely.
The reason is, the correct amount of rise or drop is going to depend on two measurements - the distance from the ground to the top of your hitch receiver, and the distance from the ground to the bottom of your trailer coupler. If you take a look at the accompanying cut out from the linked help article you can see the difference between the two is the amount of drop you need (since your hitch height is going to be higher).
Three inches is almost certainly not going to be enough, so what I recommend is getting the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution - No Shank # EQ37101ET and the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 12" Long - 13" Rise, 9" Drop # EQ90-02-4400 which has the most drop available.
