In order to adjust the tension on the Curt Weight Distribution Systems like part # C17002 you will first want to flip the bracket down, towards the ground. Once the bracket is flipped downward you can place one of the links through the hook end of the bracket. Then you can snap the bracket up using the included lift handle (Lift Handle for Curt Weight Distribution Systems part # C17112). If you have a power tongue jack, you can use this to apply tension to the spring bars as well.
