Will the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck From a 2011 Chevy Silverado 2500 Fit a 2016

Question:

I have gleaned that BWGNRM1016 will work to make the BandW gooseneck hitch head work from a 2011 Chevy 2500 to a 2016 Chevy 2500. My question is can I simply use my 2011 Chevy 2500 mounting brackets with the gooseneck hitch head and either fabricate drill holes or permanently weld the plates to the frame? Or are frame widths different? I dont mind some fabrication, but I am hoping for a straight yes or no answer. yes it can be made to work, no it will not because....looking to take a hitch off a 2011 chevy 2500 and put on a 2016 Chevy 2500. Thanks! Im on my 9th BandW hitch, and thanks to quality manufacturing, pricing, and fantastic customer service, there is only one hitch that I buy for my fleet, and that is BandW!

Correct, the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Custom Installation Kit part # BWGNRM1016 will allow you to transfer the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # BWGNRK1012 from a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 to a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 which will then give you the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # BWGNRK1016.

The reason that the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Custom Installation Kit is needed is because there was a generation change from 2014-2015 so the truck's are completely different and you would not be able to easily modify the hitch to fit one made for the other. That said, I don't have a list of x, y, and z reasons it will not work but I suppose anything is possible with a welder it just depends on how much work you are willing to undertake. Please note, any warranty that B&W offers would be null and void if you were to modify the hitch so keep that in mind as well.
