Tow Bar Wiring For 2011 Honda Fit Flat Towed By Motor Home With Combined Wiring System

Question:

I want to wire the car using the separate turn signals from brake light. What do I need to order and how to do this work. Thanks a lot, this is a great how-to web site. BY THE WAY, THE MOTOR HOME IS A COMBINED WIRING SYSTEM. How to wire a seperate 3 wire system for a flat towning 2011 Honda Fit base

You will need the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit part # RM-15267 to wire the 2011 Honda Fit with the separate system to flat tow it with the motor home with a combined system. I have attached a wiring diagram below of how this installs. The brake and turn signals sent by your motor home to the Honda Fit will be carried on a single wire so the Honda's brake lights will flash for the turn signals as well which is common.

If you want to retain separate turn and brake signals you will need Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter part # 118158 and 2 additional diodes part # RM-792.

The Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit will give you a 6-way plug on the front of the Honda and a coiled cord to connect to the 7-Way on the motor home.
