Will the Curt/Draw-Tite Trailer Hitches for a 2019 Toyota RAV4 Increase Towing Capacity
Question:
Ive considered buying the above vehicle but was told by a dealer that the towing capacity was only 1500 pounds. Your hitches indicate over 2000 pounds. Is it possible that the frame is not able to support that weight? We want to pull two motorcycles and a trailer.

The trailer hitch options for a 2019 Toyota RAV4, the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch part # DT82QR and the Curt Class III Receiver Hitch part # C13416 have a 4,500 lb and 4,000 lb towing capacity respectively. However, these trailer hitches are tested separately of the vehicle so the lowest rated component (vehicle/hitch) will be your limiting factor. Please note, the 2019 Toyota RAV4 can tow between 1,500 lbs and 3,500 lbs depending on options.
I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13416 which is a direct bolt-on fit with no drilling or cutting required. The Curt Trailer Hitch also has a hidden cross tube so only the receiver tube will be shown so you don't take away from the look of the vehicle (see photo/video). In order to complete your towing setup, you will also need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56434.
