Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring for 2019 Subaru Impreza
Question:
Hello. I plan on towing a light trailer from time to time and need to find the right parts. I have a 2019 Subaru Impreza Wagon. Can you recommend a hitch and wiring? Thank you.

Starting with the trailer hitch for your 2019 Subaru Impreza Wagon I highly recommend the Draw-Tite Class III # 76209 because of its robust weight capacities indicating a stronger unit than the alternatives and its 2" receiver, which opens the door to more accessories (bike racks, cargo carriers, etc) if you ever choose to use the hitch in this way down the line. The hitch itself will line up to existing holes in the Impreza's frame rails for a simple bolt-on (no-drill) installation and all the necessary hardware is included.
I have attached an installation video below that you can also use for reference.
Then for a trailer wiring harness the Tekonsha T-One # 118744 will work perfectly. This custom harness will plug into factory ports located behind the tail lights and wire up to the vehicle's battery for power. This will provide you with a 4-Way connector to power your trailer's basic signal lights.
Lastly you will need a ball mount and hitch ball to hook up to the trailer. I have included a great article below that explains how to choose the right one for your setup, along with a link that will take you to our available selection.
