Using Wheel Protectors with Konig XG 12 on 2019 BMW X3 with 245/50R19 Tires
Question:
Hello again, I received these size 250 self tensioning xl-12 pro chains this week and tried installing them in the garage yesterday. The instructions were great and installation went well. My only concern is that I was able to pull most of the cable through the ratchet and only about 1” is left. I didn’t drive on them to see how much more they would tighten. We have no snow yet. I am worried that the cable might max out through the ratchet. I will upload a few photos for you and look forward to any suggestions you might have. Thanks,

The wheel protectors that come with the Konig Chains part # TH01594247 are optional but I strongly recommend using them if you value your wheels! You'll just need to put them in the best locations that will protect the wheels. There isn't a set place they have to go so you'll need to use your best judgment.
You won't need the extra links but I would hold onto them in case something were to happen and you'd need to replace them.
I attached an install video for these for you to check out as well.
