How Do I Get Through Firewall to Install Flat Towing Break Away Switch on 2019 Ford Ranger
Question:
I need to install an RVI Brake break awayfoot switch in a new, 2019, Ford Ranger. Do you have a video showing how to make that installation? Getting the cable from the switch on the front bumper thru the firewall looks challenging. Any help and/or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Unfortunately we do not sell RVI Flat Towing products, so we have not installed this specific product on any vehicles but we have installed supplemental braking systems like the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251 on a 2019 Ford Ranger.
I've provided a link to our installation of an SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System on a 2019 Ford Ranger that talks about wiring through the firewall; you'll want to fast forward to around the 6:00 mark where it shows where the best spot our installation team has found to put wires through the firewall. It will likely require some drilling, but it's not too difficult with a good drill.
