How Does 4-Way to 7-Way Adapter # 37185 Install If Trailer Brakes aren't Needed
Question:
I have the Tekonsha 118669 for our 2015 Ford Edge. I am going to order the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole Item # 37185 to get to the 7 pin connector I have on the new trailer. I do not want a brake controller at this time to be connected, maybe later. I only will pull this trailer about 10 miles with a very light load. So the question is : I believe I just need to connect the 4 prong connectors from one kit to this new kit. Then attached the ground on the new 4 to 7 pole and that is about all. The Tekonsha has the power coming off the battery to control the brake lights, turns and tail lights. Please advise if I have missed something. Regards I will wait for your response before ordering Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole Item # 37185.

All you'll need to do is connect the 4-way of your 2015 Ford Edge to the 4-way of the # 37185, ground the white wire, and you'll be set! All of the trailer taillight circuits will be active and you can just tape up the extra wires not needed.
