It sounds like you are trying to decide between the Curt Class II Round Receiver hitch part # C12140 and the Class III Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13234. I recommend the Curt Class III 2" C13234 receiver because it is more versatile in the long run. There a lot more accessory options like bike racks and cargo carriers that fit a 2" receiver. If you decide to tow a small trailer in the future the 2" is a better option as well.
If you need a bike rack, I recommend the Kuat NV 2.0 Base 2-Bike Platform Rack in gunmetal gray part # NV22G which allows you to carry the bikes by their wheels instead of the frame to avoid scratching. The bike rack itself is made of a nice lightweight aluminum to avoid corrosion and gives it a nice sleek look. It also tilts away from rear cargo access when you need a cold drink from the cooler after riding the trails!
If you do not care for the gunmetal gray, you may consider the matte black option part # BA22B.
