Upgrading a Husky Center Line Weight Distribution System to Higher Tongue Weight and 2.5 inch Hitch

Question:

I just upgraded my truck from a Chevy 1500 to a 2500HD and a new travel trailer 7600 GVWR to 9995 GVWR. I would like to continue using the Husky Centerline TS system as I have had no problems. My new truck has a 2.5” receiver instead of 2.0” and I do not want to use a receiver adapter. My thought is I purchase the 800-12000 spring bars and then the swap the Husky standard 2.0” shank with a 2.5” shank. I’m I thinking correctly? Can I swap the 2.0 for a 2.5” shank with this head assembly?

Your ideas are spot on! You can upgrade the spring bars with the part # HT32329 and you'd have a tongue weight range of 800 -1,200 lbs and then since all of the weight distribution system heads and shanks are made to the same specs you could use the Equal-i-zer shank part # EQ90-02-4900.
