Not All Pins On T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Part # 118271 Have Power
Question:
I installed this wiring kit last summer, using di-electric grease in both plug ends. The plug has worked great previously, but recently has stopped working as it should. I tested the plug, and some pins are providing current right turn, 12 volt, running lights, while others are not left turn, backup lights, brakes. All of the lights are working properly on the vehicle. Are there separate fuses for the towing pig-tail on the vehicle?

Expert Reply:
If the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118271 is not working correctly then odds are you have an issue in the vehicle's fuse box. The trailer lights are on a separate circuit that the vehicle's tail lights so there will be separate fuses for the trailer lighting circuits. If all fuses check out then test the square pigtail on the vehicle before the signals are carried into the wiring harness. If you get power on all circuits at the square pigtail then you know the trailer wiring harness needs replaced.
That said, the issue you are having is likely with the fuses/relays so be sure to check your owner's manual for the proper locations.
