Replacement for Fulton Magnum Series Jack on Boat Trailer

Question:

Mastercraft X45 trailer jack replacement. There is a Fulton Magnum Series bolt through jack on the trailer now. Worn out...It appears the F1411300301 will fit. I would like a 2000 pound jack. More is better right? The current jack is bolted to a plate welded on by Mastercraft as part of the trailer. A single bolt appears to connect the jack to the plate. Suggestions?

The Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack # F1411300301 will definitely work for you as a replacement for the current Fulton Magnum Series jack you have, as it will mount to the bracket already on your trailer, as that bracket will be the Jack Mounting Bracket for Fulton Marine Jack # P9012-00.

This Fulton jack has a 1,500 lb capacity, and while I completely understand thinking that the higher capacity of the jack, the better, that just isn't the case, because trailer jacks nowadays have so much more capacity than needed already. The 1,500 lb capacity of this jack only needs to support the tongue weight of your loaded boat trailer. A boat trailer's tongue weight is typically much than a camper trailer, for example, but will be about 10 percent of your loaded trailer's weight.

To simplify, unless you have a trailer and boat that combine to weigh more than 15,000 lbs, the Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack # F1411300301 and its 1,500 lb capacity will be more than enough for your needs.

I have added a link to a video review of this jack for you to check out as well.
