Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
I'm having trouble choosing between the EcoHitch # 306-X7266 and the Draw-Tite # 76227 for my 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon. Could you make a recommendation?

Once installed, either hitch will be nicely concealed behind the rear bumper/fascia. The only visible portion of the hitch will be the receiver tube itself. I'd personally choose the Draw-Tite # 76227 because it's considerably less expensive than the EcoHitch # 306-X7601 and it has an extra hole bored in the receiver tube so that an anti-rattle hitch lock could be used.
If you try to purchase American manufactured parts whenever possible, the EcoHitch model would be an excellent choice as it's manufactured in the USA. It also has a mission to use recycled materials.
If you'll be towing with your Outback, you'll need a few other items to complete your towing setup:
Trailer wiring harness, part # 118467
Ball mount/trailer ball kit, part # 989900 kit contains 2 ball mounts, a 1-7/8 and a 2 inch trailer ball and 2 hitch pins
I've linked installation videos for both the hitches as well as the wiring harness.
