How is the hitch packaged when it ships - and how many boxes are used?

The B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3300 that you referenced will come in two pieces, the Head # BWRVC3006 and the Base # BWRVB3300, both packaged in their own individual box for two boxes total. The components themselves are packed really well with custom corrugated cardboard pieces that are designed to hold the the pieces in place during travel. I have actually removed the base from its original packaging before (and tried to put it back into its original orientation) and can speak to its quality. You don't need to be concerned with any damage occurring in route due to halfhearted packing.

The Companion Head has a shipping weight of around 73 pounds and the Base weighs about 80 pounds.
