Possible Mounting Locations for Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Control Knob on Honda Ridgeline
Question:
Hello. I recently purchased a 2019 RTL-E Ridgeline and learned that the trailer break function does not work unless an aftermarket break controller is added. I like the idea of the Redarc Tow-Pro but all spaces are used with factory buttons with no blanks available for mounting. That being said, where would you recommend mounting the control knob? Thanks The attached image is not my actual dash, but gives an idea of what things look like. On mine all four switch locations are full.

The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR is a great option for maintaining a clean factory appearance inside the cab of your Honda Ridgeline (not to mention that it also works extremely well to activate the trailer brakes). The options are pretty open as far as where it can be mounted, even in trucks like yours that maybe don't have a lot of empty space to work with on the dash. You could potentially cut out a new hole next to the factory buttons on the picture you attached, or even cut a small hole in the lower center console like we did during one of our installs (see attached image).
We also had a fellow Ridgeline owner who sent in a couple of pictures that show how he simply used a small bracket and Velcro strip to mount it below the dash on the center console. I have attached these images below as well.
