Can Roof Tracks Be Installed On a 2019 Mazda CX-5

Question:

youre website is by far best source info came across this from one of your experts: Yes, I test fit the Rhino-Rack RTC-Style Roof Rack Tracks # RTC12JW with the Landing Pad 1 # Y00221 and the Landing Pad 4 # Y00224 and found that they are compatible with each other. All of these parts come in a quantity of 2. To complete your setup you also need 4 of the Yakima Control Tower # Y8890027 and a set of round bars that match your application. Question, what are my Rhino Track options for a 2019 Mazda CX-5 gutter strip, not flush rails. If I wanted to go with the landing pads/round bar above? Either landing pad 1 or 4 would work? Would this need to drill into roof? Rhino Rack would replce the gutter strip correct?

I do have plenty of roof rack options for a 2019 Mazda CX-5 but since your vehicle has a bare roof you will need to install a system that attaches inside the door jamb. The tracks cannot be used on the roof of a vehicle as they require drilling and are more for hard shell camper tops. The rain gutters on your CX-5 should not be modified in any way.

I recommend the Inno Aero Crossbar System part # INXB130-138, part # INXS250, and part # INK497 which as mentioned will attach inside the door jamb (see similar photo) but this is the only option for your vehicle. The Inno Aero Crossbar System also as the title states has aero crossbars which will cut down on wind noise and just look much nicer overall than the other bar types. The Inno Aero Crossbar System in particular is a great cost effective option that even comes with locks for security. There are no options from Rhino Rack for a 2019 Mazda CX-5 yet.
